Predicted Aesthetic Trends in 2024

Happy New Year and welcome to 2024!

Here are 5 things that I predict will be trending in the world of Asthetics this year.
1.Breast reduction or  breast implant removal
20 years ago, the aesthetic  trend for breasts were  large implants. Over and under the muscle, saline and silicone, 500cc or more were all the rage. Women wanted large breasts. Fast forward to 2024, we now see that the aesthetic has turned beck to smaller, more natural looking breasts. Many women have opted to remove them entirely and do a breast lift, while the women wanting increased size are going with a much smaller implant. Some patients elect to do a fat transfer to the breast.
2. Filler reversal
Having large, overfilled lips and or a pillow face is now being replaced with a trend of dissolving fillers and using more natural substances such as PRP, exosomes and biostimulators. HA dermal fillers can last much longer in the body than originally thought, leading to filler migration, skin reactions, and sometimes nodules under the skin. I see this trend lasting as new autologous and natural options evolve.
3. BBL reversal
Many patients are opting to reverse their Brazilian butt lifts.
Social media influencers went from having large fat transfers to the buttocks to a thinner look, having most of the fat removed.  Many people have dropped weight from the use of Ozempic and other medications, leading to a skinnier body.
4. Modified Face lift
It used to be that Face lifts were only performed on older patients in their 50s and 60s on up. We now see many younger patients doing mini face lifts or perhaps just a Brow lift. There has been much improvement and education on Face lifts and what type of face lift is good for the patient. It can be much more customized than it used to be. It also can look undetectable when performed well.
5. More natural injectables
Patients in 2024 are looking for a much more natural aesthetic. Neurotoxins can be used  sparingly as to avoid a wind blown or completely frozen forehead.
Lasers can be used to clean up the skin and offer natural fresh look. Dermal fillers and PRP are used to refresh areas such as the under eyes, but not to be overdone as to create a pillow face which is a face that has been overfilled.

As always, please do your research when looking for a provider in your area!
